Lush Southampton's Blogger Event - Skincare

This is my first official post as I have been very busy with GCSEs and enjoying summer, but now I’ve actually managed to sit down and start my blog properly.

I was looking forward to THE event of week and this was my first one (of many, hopefully!!) This event, Lush Southampton first blogger event, was for exclusive bloggers to find out more on the Lush's fresh skincare range...and I was one of the lucky ones to be invited!
Before setting foot into the shop, I was sat on a bench outside where I could smell the familiar aromas from the shop spilling out.
Upon our arrival ,we were greeted by the lovely staff with a drink of bubbles (non-alcoholic for me) and light, healthy snacks- fruits, popcorn & gluten-free, vegan cupcakes  :P

Whilst sipping and nibbling away, I chatted with other bloggers. After settling in, We were set an icebreaker task. Where we were paired up and gave one another a hand and arm massage. During the arm massage, we had to find out the other blogger's name and what they blog about. I was paired with Sarah. (blog link below)
After the ice breaker activity we were split into two groups. My group and I went first for the Emotional Brilliance readings. The reading is colour therapy. The colours you pick are from you subconscious and are connected to your 'strengths',subconscious' & 'aspirations'.
See picture lower down to see what coulours I picked and what emotion they were linked to.
It was surprisingly accurate!!
Its a few easy steps:
1.     Close your eyes and clear your mind
2.     When you hear the wheel stop pick the first three colours you see
3.     Your consultant will tell you the meaning of the colours you have picked
4.     Try on the colours!!
The colours come in three different forms lipstick, eyeliner and eyeshadow. Though I didn't really want to try the blue on my lips!!

Once my group and I had our colour consultations we moved on to the next task at hand. We got to make our very own Cupcake face mask and Catastrophe Cosmetic!!
Catastrophe Cosmetic ingredients included fresh blueberries, chamomile powder& rose. This face mask is really calming for the skin. The calamine powder and almond oils are there to soothe and soften the skin.
Cupcake ingredients included freshly chopped mint, Shea cocoa butter & Rhassoul mud. This face mask is really good because it gives you a deep cleanse. The fresh mint also stimulates and tones the skin.
The fresh face masks we made couldn't get any fresher than this.

I felt like one of the compounders in the factory hehe. But during the workshop we found out it is a very long road to become one, which entails exams :O

The evening went by so quickly,(you know what they say when you're enjoying yourself time flies by) and we were cutting the creamy candy bubble bar already...which I got a very big slice of.

We had a few moments to make some purchases before Rosie, Assistant Manager and Organiser, rounded off the evening by handing us our very own personalised goodie bag.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself so much learning about skincare products, in more depth and the best part was meeting other bloggers and fantastic Lush Southampton staff!.

*GIVEAWAY COMING SOON*

Stay tuned to have a peek at what my goodie bag included
